We’re Hiring: Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

Help Shape Young Minds. Make Every Day Count.

Do you love working with children and making a real difference every single day? Are you patient, enthusiastic, and ready to be part of a supportive, passionate team? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

St Edburg’s Upper School is looking to appoint a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner who brings energy, empathy, and a can-do attitude into the classroom. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

St Edburg’s CE Primary School is situated on the Kingsmere Estate in Bicester. We are a dynamic, friendly and caring school which is split across two sites – lower school (Nursery to Year 2), and Upper School (Years 3 – 6). The team works hard to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children who come here. Our team work in close partnership with each other to facilitate learning in line with our whole school vision “All are valued, all are loved.”

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Responsible delivery of play, care and learning in our 30-hour nursery
  • Play a key role in providing high quality teaching and offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children.
  • Support the development of our curriculum to ensure that our offer is inspiring and engaging for our young learners
  • Develop strong community links to further build and promote essential successful home/nursery partnerships with our parents and carers.

What We’re Looking For:

      •     A warm, reliable, and enthusiastic individual

      •     Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and building positive relationships

      •     A passion for helping children grow in confidence and ability

Qualifications:

  • Holds a full and relevant Level 3 (or above) qualification in childcare
  • Achieved GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development
  • Demonstrates a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Knowledge of keyworker systems, health and safety in a nursery setting, and equal opportunities

Why Join Us?

      •     We offer a welcoming, supportive school community

      •     Opportunities for training and professional development

      •     The chance to make a genuine impact every day

      •     No two days are ever the same

If you’re ready to start a rewarding role where your work truly matters, we’d love you on our team.

Apply now and be part of something special.

Visits to the school are very much encouraged and will give applicants an opportunity to find out more about the role and our school. Please email or call the school office to arrange this.
