Administrative Assistant

Job Introduction
Fleet Infant School is a very happy place to work. Our school is a friendly and supportive community with a strong and positive ethos surrounding the learning and well-being of all our children.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and efficient Admin Assistant to join our busy Admin team. Working on Reception you will be the first point of contact in person and on the telephone for parents, children and visitors. The job is varied so requires the ability to be proactive and multi-tasking to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a kind, caring manner and a good sense of humour
- Has an aptitude for administrative work with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Has the ability to use their initiative, be flexible and work as part of a team with a ‘can do’ approach
- Can work well under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently
- Understands the importance of safeguarding, is professionally discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
- Has a good standard of IT skills and can operate a variety of IT applications
- Has GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
The role includes:
- Providing a friendly reception for all our visitors and members of the school community
- Answering general enquiries, taking messages, photocopying
- General office duties to ensure the smooth running of the school
- Supporting and liaising with all school staff and external parties as appropriate
- Administering first aid and medication and recording appropriately, for which training will be given if required
- Fire marshal duties
Interviews will be held on Monday 2nd February 2026.
Job Start Date: Monday 23rd February 2026 (Mondays and Tuesdays).
