After School Club Assistant
Do you enjoy working with children? We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable After School Club Assistant to help provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for our pupils at the end of the school day.
Our after-school provision is a large, well-established club led by confident and experienced leaders. We run two clubs each day: one for younger pupils and one for older pupils, supporting children aged 4 to 11. This role will predominantly be working with our younger pupils however the successful candidate will be expected to be able to work across both clubs. Part-time or job share could be a possibility for the right candidates.
As part of our friendly team, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of fun and engaging activities, including arts and crafts and outdoor play
- Supervising children, encouraging positive behaviour, and making sure every child feels included and supported
- Preparing and serving snacks when needed
- Communicating with parents and carers at collection time
- Setting up resources and ensuring everything is tidied away at the end of each session
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with primary-aged children
- Is energetic, patient, and approachable
- Works well as part of a team
- Is organised and able to help maintain a safe environment
- Brings creativity and enthusiasm to after-school activities
Experience of working with children is desirable but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. Full training will be provided, and you may be asked to attend relevant courses.
