Learning Support Assistant -Fixed Term (Afternoons)

Job/Person Summary

We are seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to specifically support small groups of children with interventions. Candidates will need to have a good understanding of junior aged children and how they learn. Experience of listening to children or helping with mental health is desirable

• Be cheerful, flexible and approachable.
• Have energy and enthusiasm and be able to show initiative within the role.
• Be a team player, able to work closely with teachers and other adults within the classroom to ensure the best for our pupils.
• Be patient and have good communication skills.
• Have a good understanding of child development and some experience of supporting children who have social and emotional difficulty.

This contract is initially for two terms but is highly likely to evolve into a permanent position.
