Job Introduction

We are looking for an Admin Officer to join the admin team at Long Sutton CofE Primary, a small, friendly Church of England primary school at the heart of our village community. Guided by our Christian values of Love, Courage, and Hope, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive and inspiring environment for both our children and staff.

The successful candidate will be a happy, caring and enthusiastic person who will work closely with the Senior Admin Assistant and Admin Assistant to deliver professional administrative support and have enthusiasm to work with pupils, parents and staff.

This is a busy and varied role requiring attention to detail and the ability to multitask.  The successful candidate will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and will enjoy a varied workload.  They must be flexible and first aid trained or willing to be trained.

The successful applicant will need to:

  • Have experience working in a school, preferably as a school Admin Officer, with experience of school finances and MIS systems;
  • Have experience in managing staff personnel records, recruitment and safeguarding procedures;
  • Have experience in dealing with school admissions;
  • Possess excellent IT skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel), IBC (SAP), and Arbor and have experience with using the school budgeting system;
  • Provide a high standard of customer service with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
  • Be proactive in helping to establish admin systems for a busy office;
  • Enjoy working with children;
  • Use own initiative as well as work as part of a team;
  • Have a 'can do' and flexible approach to all aspects of the role;
  • Be able to multitask and prioritise calmly under pressure, dealing with all matters confidentially;
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, including a good sense of humour;

Hours of work:  3 days per week (8.00am - 4.30pm) - days to be confirmed.
