Learning Support Assistant

Job Introduction

At Maple Ridge School, we aim to make a difference to all of our pupils and their families by ensuring that children are happy, feel safe and enjoy their school experience.

We are a school for pupils aged 4-11 learning difficulties, many of whom also have autism. We are looking to appoint a conscientious, enthusiastic and energetic learning support assistant to join our fantastic team, ideally someone with the following personal qualities: 

1. Be empathetic to pupils’ needs
2. Be professionally discreet and respect confidentiality
3. Have good interpersonal skills and sense of humour
4. Work hard as part of a cohesive team
5. Demonstrate patience and perseverance

Special school experience is desirable but not essential. However, experience of working in a school or nursery setting is essential.
