Contract: Permanent, Term time only

Salary Type: Support Staff

Salary Details: EHCC Grade B, £24,796 - £25,128 FTE – actual hours will be pro-rated

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 3.30 pm (to include 0.5 hr lunch duty). 0.5 hrs lunch break (unpaid)

We are looking to appoint a conscientious, enthusiastic, skilled and creative Learning Support Assistant to work at our friendly, caring and successful school.   

Responsibilities will include supporting children with SEN needs and playing a positive role in the development of children across KS1 and KS2 in both their pastoral and academic development. Includes some intervention group teaching and some lunchtime duties. In-school training can be provided to enable you to develop your skills further. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Be experienced in working with children and ideally with SEN children
  • Be committed to supporting individual children's social, moral, emotional and academic well-being
  • Demonstrate patience, cheerfulness and understanding
  • Have the ability to work under the direction of the class teacher and on their own initiative.
  • Have energy, enthusiasm and the ability to be flexible
  • Be able to play effectively and form strong relationships with children
  • Have a firm belief in inclusion and an intuitive response to children's needs
  • Be passionate about providing rich educational experiences
