Job Introduction

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

GREAT BINFIELDS PRIMARY SCHOOL 

We are looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and creative Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly, caring and successful school.   Responsibilities will include supporting children in either KS1 or KS2, playing a positive role in both their pastoral and academic development and undertaking some early morning intervention group teaching as well as some 1:1 support and lunchtime duties.

Experience of working with children previously is desirable but not essential. You will be supported with regards to induction and in-school training will be provided to enable you to develop your skills further. 

About the role:

  • Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week, 8.30 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday, term time only, with 0.5 hr unpaid lunch break.
  • Fixed term contract to 31st August 2027 with the possibility of a permanent role moving forward.
  • Supporting children across the school, including those with additional needs; this will include small group work and some 1:1 support where required.
  • Duties for all our LSAs include 0.5 hrs of lunchtime supervision per day
  • EHCC Grade B, starting at £24,796 full time equivalent.
