Job Introduction

We are seeking friendly, calm, caring, and enthusiastic individuals to join our committed team. As a Behaviour Support, you will play a key role in supporting students within our Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) provision. Your primary focus will be on behaviour management and supporting students in regulating their emotions and behaviours across the federation, including in mainstream classes. Many students experience frustration that can lead to challenging behaviour, and your support will be essential in helping them manage and succeed.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and nurturing federation that values and cares for each team member
  • The chance to make a real impact in the school and broader community
  • Opportunities to develop skills in managing a range of complex behavioural needs
  • Days in lieu for extra-curricular club involvement
  • A culture focused on personal and professional growth

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

  • Ideally has experience in behaviour support, though we welcome all levels of experience
  • Has a strong interest in working with students with SEMH needs
  • Embraces inclusivity, understands that “every day is a fresh start,” and avoids holding grudges
  • Is flexible, adaptable, and able to use their initiative
  • Can handle challenging situations with resilience and composure
  • Works effectively as part of a team across the schools
  • Builds positive rapport with students in the Secondary phase, from Year 7 to Year 11

Why Join Prospect School?

  • Impact: Directly contribute to transforming the lives of students facing adversity.
  • Professional Development: Engage in weekly CPD sessions to enhance your expertise in SEMH.
  • Supportive Community: Join one of the schools with the highest levels of pupil premium in the county, reflecting our commitment to supporting students through their educational journey.

Commitment to Diversity:

Prospect School is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and communities, as we work together to build a supportive and inclusive environment for our students and staff.

Closing Date:

Please submit your application form by Friday 8 November 2024.
