Samuel Cody School is a special school for students aged 4 -16 with severe-moderate learning difficulties in our primary and secondary buildings and SEMH difficulties at Cody Oaks. Our school is a successful, friendly and forward-thinking school where everyone is encouraged to do their best and achieve their full potential; a place where everybody is valued and respected. We pride ourselves on the strong relationships staff build with students and as a result we experience highly rewarding impact on students’ communication, independence, and personal development.
This role is newly created and represents an exciting opportunity for someone with an Occupational Therapy Qualification supporting young people across the school.

About the role:
You will lead on establishing and developing a high-quality occupational therapy provision, supporting pupils with a diverse range of needs. This includes delivering specialist, outcome-focused interventions, embedding therapeutic strategies across the curriculum, and training staff to enhance inclusive practice. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to provide a truly holistic approach to care and education.
About you:
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC and RCOT registration
- Experience working with children with ASC and/or SEMH
- Skilled in multidisciplinary working and delivering staff training
- Committed to evidence-based, child-centred practice within an educational setting
