Job Introduction

Hamble Primary School is seeking a new, dedicated and enthusiastic practitioner to lead our fantastic Outdoor Learning offer. We have an established Outdoor Learning Curriculum that offers enriching experiences for all our pupils from Year R to Year 6. The role brings the opportunity to help children learn and thrive in our extensive woods and outdoor environment, and to help evaluate our existing offer to see how it can be improved - new ideas are always welcome!

This part-time position is for 3 full days during which you will lead Outdoor Learning sessions as part of our PPA offer, with members of our Learning Support Staff to assist you. Administration time will be allocated to allow for work such as risk assessments, curriculum review and stock renewal.

All our children adore Outdoor Learning and we can offer keen, knowledgeable and inquisitive little minds to work with! As our Outdoor Learning Practitioner, you'll play a vital role in developing children's confidence, resilience, and understanding of the natural world.  Our pupils already have a strong foundation of skills and knowledge of the outdoor environment, providing a wonderful base for you to build upon. Behaviour and safety outdoors is well-established and there will be opportunity for a handover with the current post-holder to ensure a smooth transition in terms of routines and expectations.

Please see the attached Person Specification and Job Description for more details of the role. School visits or an informal chat about the position can be arranged on request - please email admin@hamble-pri.hants.sch.uk.

Safer Recruitment

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
