Breakfast Club Vacancy, 6.25 hours per week and Cleaning post 10 hours per week. Ideally the same candidate will fill both roles, however if you want to apply for just one, we are also open to this.

We are looking for a member of staff to join our school team as a BreakfastClub Assistant

Role PurposeTo supervise and coordinate the daily operation of the school's BreakfastClub, providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children before school hours. The role involves organising activities, preparing and serving breakfast, and ensuring the wellbeing of all children in attendance.The role is Monday to Friday 7.15am to 8.45am (7.5 hours per week) - Term Time Only. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise children attending the Breakfast Club and ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities suitable for a range of ages.
  • Prepare and serve a healthy breakfast, following hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Ensure children behave appropriately and follow school rules.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and report any issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and school staff.
  • Ensure a clean and tidy environment at the beginning and end of each session.
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
  • Administer basic first aid as required and maintain incident records.
  • Monitoring stock levels of food and purchasing food

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates.
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Childcare).
  • Experience planning and delivering children's activities.

Cleaning Post:

Are you reliable, enthusiastic and take pride in keeping environments clean and welcoming? We are looking for someone who enjoys practical work, has good attention to detail and can work independently to maintain high standards across the school.

 Duties will include: 

  • Carrying out daily cleaning duties across a designated area of the school 
  • Helping to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety 
  • Reporting any maintenance or security concerns 
  • Handling cleaning products safely and following Health & Safety
  • Working both independently and as part of a small, supportive team

The ideal candidate will:

  • Friendly, trustworthy and able to work using your own initiative 
  • Someone with good attention to detail 
  • Comfortable with physical tasks and using cleaning equipment 
  • Committed to keeping our school looking its best
