Job/Person Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our small, friendly school. You will be the first point of contact for visitors to the school office as well as carrying out a variety of office related tasks and implementing and maintaining a range of administrative systems.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has excellent communication skills as you will be the initial face of the school to all visitors
  • Is able to manage the demands of a school office 
  • Deal efficiently and effectively with telephone queries and emails
  • Be able to ensure the smooth running of the school office
  • Can prioritise effectively under pressure 
  • Is confident in using ICT, Word and Excel
  • Has achieved a Grade C or above in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent 

The role will include:

  • Providing administrative support for the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team where required
  • Assisting staff and parents with the information and support that they need
  • Updating manual and computerised record/information systems
  • Producing a school newsletter, keeping parents up to date with all that is happening at the school
  • Acting as the school administration for after school clubs
